Who's Who in the "Krusty
the Clown Show"
We here at The OKH
know that it can be tough just remembering the regular characters'
names, let alone the obscure ones who appear on the Show, so we have compiled
a list of all of the characters who have appeared on the infamous Krusty
the Clown Show.
Krusty And His Sidekicks
Krusty the Clown.....voice:
Dan Castellaneta..... Born Herschel Schmoykel Krustofsky, Krusty the
Clown is the best loved clown in the business. Krusty, host of the Krusty
the Clown Show, is a crude and painfully candid clown who doesn't wear
makeup (egad! that's true) and a regular recipient of open-heart surgery
(or, is a member of the "zipper club," as he puts it). His show has been
in danger of cancellation several times but without fail, Bart and Lisa
manage to save him. The portrait of a red-blooded American, Krusty's family
came through Ellis Island in 1902. In 1996, Krusty faked his death in order
to avoid pursuit from the IRS.
"Sideshow" Bob Underdunk
Terwilliger.....voice:
Kelsey Grammer..... Krusty's vocal, former sidekick who seems to be
always in trouble. He tried to frame Krusty for robbery and is in a minimum
security prison for rigging the Springfield election in his favor. He married
Selma (Marge's sister), then tried to murder her, and on numerous other
occasions, tried to murder Bart. According to Marge, "He's an evil genius!"
"Sideshow" Mel(vin)
Van Horne.....voice:
Dan Castellaneta..... Krusty the Clown's latest faithful sidekick.
Looks very similar to Bob, although he has a bone through his hair, as
opposed to the SSB weeping willow hairdo. Mel could have the instinct for
murder that his predecessor had. He is lactose intolerant, and plays the
slide whistle very well...
"Sideshow" Luke Perry.....voice:
Luke Perry..... In a hilarious bit of slapstick, Krusty's worthless
half brother, Luke Perry, was shot out of a cannon, through the walls of
the studio and into many other buildings.
"Sideshow" Raghib.....Only
in about five seconds of the Krusty anniversary show, SSR manages to make
his way onto the increasing list of Krusty's sidekicks.
Some Of Krusty's Other
Kohorts
Roger Myers,
founded Itchy & Scratchy Studios in 1921. He is the creator of the
cat "Scratchy" but stole the idea for Itchy from one of his artists. His
head has been cryogenically frozen.
Chester J. Lampwick,
created Itchy in 1919. Was homeless for many years but resurfaced to collect
an $800 billion settlement from I&S studios, which he used to finance
his gold house and rocket car.
Roger Myers Jr.,
current president of Itchy & Scratchy Studios. Son of Roger Myers,
the company's founder.
Bill, Krusty's
accountant who warns him about his frivolous spending and poor money management.
Miss Lois Pennycandy,
Krusty's delightful, ever faithful, and not forgotten, personal assistant.
Mr. Teeny, the
chimpanzee regular who's always got a cigar in his mouth.
Corporal Punishment,
the man in charge of the studio.
Gina Ballerina,
the heavy-set ballerina who appears at the end of Like Father Like Clown.
Professor Gas Can,
Krusty's make-shift sidekick in Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming.
Former President
Ike Eisenhower,
another one of Krusty's make-shift sidekicks in Sideshow Bob's Last
Gleaming. This picture of Ike shouted "Let's get busy!"
Chunky The Pig,
appeared in one episode back when The Simpsons were a part of The
Tracey Ullman Show.
The Cartoons
Itchy and Scratchy,
Krusty's biggest draw. This extremely violent cat and mouse team (who
left briefly for Gabbo's show) keep trying to kill each other (except for
the time we never saw when one actually did get the other) (and
the time when they loved each other) for no apparent reason.
Worker and Parasite
When Itchy and Scratchy left, Krusty had to settle for the poor imitation,
Worker and Parasite. He said that they were Eastern Europe's favorite
cat and mouse team but in actuality, they pretty much sucked. "What
the hell was that?" - Krusty after watching their cartoon.
Stingy and Battery
In Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming, Krusty wanted to be the only show
on the air. He shacked himself up in the desert someplace and S&B were
the closest things he could get to I&S.
The Happy Little
Elves, modeled probably after The Carebears, these elves (Chilly,
Yendor, Bubbles, Doofy, Gloomy and Moldy) are the exact opposite of Itchy
and Scratchy. Lisa is seen watching them in the first full-length episode.
Roger Myers' Stick
Figures,
the primitive predecessors of I&S, these characters include: Flatulent
Fox, Manic Mailman, Disgruntled Goat, Dinner Dog, Brown Bear, Rich Uncle
Skeleton, Ku Klux Klam and Sarcastic Horse.
Krusty's Competition?
Gabbo.....voice:
Dan Castellaneta.....Gabbo is Coming! The new show that almost made
Krusty go off the air for good, Gabbo. The "dummy" with a mind of his own.
He's a "bad wittle boy"
Arthur Crandall,
Gabbo's human counterpart.
Crazy Old Man,
"old gray mare she ain't what she used to be"... Crazy Old Man and his
dancers made it big as Krusty starved on the street. "How can I sell it,
when that guy's giving it away for free?" - Krusty
